History
The Faculty of Foreign Languages is one of the earliest established faculties at Ningbo University, with its predecessor, the Department of Foreign Languages, founded in 1986, concurrent with the establishment of the university itself. In October 1997, the former Department of Foreign Languages of Ningbo University, the English Department of Ningbo Normal College, and the Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Ocean University merged to form the Ningbo University School of Foreign Languages. In 2015, it was renamed the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
