The faculty of foreign languages in Ningbo University has a teaching and research team with a complete discipline echelon and a high level of academic qualifications. There are more than 140 teachers, including 21 professors, 40 associate professors, 41 doctors, nearly 100 teachers who have returned from overseas and more than 100 teachers with master’s degree and above education.

Among the teaching staff, there is one member of China national committee for translation and interpreting education of the Ministry of education, one member of China national committee for Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of education, one specialist receiving a special State allowance, one expert from the “Thousand Talents Program” of Zhejiang Province, two distinguished professors of “Qianjiang scholars”, two distinguished professors of “Yongjiang scholars”, two outstanding talents of the Ministry of education in the new century, five young and middle-aged discipline leaders in provincial colleges and universities, eleven experts selected in the provincial “151 talent project”, four first-, second-, and third-level talents in Ningbo 4321 and seven doctoral supervisors (including cooperative supervisors).
